Feedback on Communication and Setup
A focused review built around practical decisions and constraints.

I booked a clinical psychologist in Pretoria after a GP referral, and the part I remember most is how the practice handled the setup. The first email came back the same day with a short list of questions about medical aid, preferred session language and whether I wanted in-person or telehealth. That saved a lot of back and forth later. The waiting time was about three weeks, which I had been told upfront, so nothing felt like a surprise. What I would flag is the billing side: the practice does not bill the medical aid directly, so I paid the session fee myself and submitted the claim afterwards. It worked out, but if you are not used to that process it is worth asking about it on the first call rather than after the session.
